Abstract:
BACKGROUND:Dexmedetomidineisaselectivealpha-2adrenergicagonistwithsedative,analgesic,andanxiolyticproperties.Dexmedetomidinehasnotbeenapprovedforuseinpediatrics.Dexmedetomidinehasbeenreportedtodepresssinusnodeandatrioventricularnodalfunctioninpediatricpatients;ithasbeensuggestedthattheuseofdexmedetomidinemaynotbedesirableduringelectrophysiologicalstudiesAIM:Wehypothesizethattheuseofdexmedetomidinedoesnotinhibittheinductionofsupraventriculartachyarrhythmias(SVT)duringelectrophysiologicalstudiesanddoesnotinhibittheablationofsucharrhythmias.METHODS:Inthisretrospective,observationalcohortstudy,wereviewedallcasespresentingtothecardiaccatheterizationlaboratoryfordiagnosisortreatmentofSVTsince.Allcaseswereperformedbythesameelectrophysiologist.Theanesthesiawasprovidedbyoneofthethreecardiacanesthesiologists.Onecardiacanesthesiologistdidnotusedexmedetomidineduringelectrophysiologicalstudies.Aseconduseddexmedetomidine,butonlywithaninfusion.Thethirduseddexmedetomidinewithaprimarybolusandaninfusion.Thus,thepatientswerestratifiedintothreedifferentgroups:Group1patientsdidnotreceiveanydexmedetomidine.Group2patientsreceivedadexmedetomidineinfusionof0.5-1μg·kg-1·h-1.Group3patientsreceivedadexmedetomidineinfusionof0.5-1μg·kg-1·h-1andadexmedetomidineboluspriortotheinfusionof0.5-1μg·kg-1.Wethen北京治疗白癜风的最好的医院江西白癜风医院最近更新
